He thought that people placed too much emphasis on science and logic, since those were empirical, and felt that man needed to balance himself with philosophy, arts, sociology, and religion. Jung's influence is found in AA's 12-step idea of belief in a higher power, and that spiritual experience is a great motivator for personal change. Instead of simply understanding the ego, one has to open one's ego to dreams, religion, and spirituality to understand a complete worldview rather than an individual one.<BR/><BR/>I was actually making a joke since modern psychiatry is split between Freudians and Jungians. And although I haven't spoken much to Everett in 10 years and certainly haven't had any email exchanges (what?
