"Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the LORD, and turn away from evil.
"It will be healing to your flesh
and refreshment to your bones." Prov. 3:5-8 (ESV)

Usually you post a little something about why you chose a particular verse for the day; but today you didn't.
Everett, you picked one of my fav's! I like to sing this one when something is going on that I quite don't understand. It is so good to know a loving God is in control and has a plan for us--a good plan. THanks for sharing!
love,
your little sister
i like this one, too. it was given to us as marriage advice. i had never noticed the outcome that would come with the advice before, that it would be healing and refreshing. that's super wonderful. i have found that to be true, but had never noticed it in the scripture before.

And now for something completely different: Unbeknownst (or at least unremembered) by me, my "blocked senders list" on my email includes the domain name "gmail.com." Many many moons ago, I got some spam from someone with a "gmail.com" address. So I added the address to the BSL. I didn't realize, however, that it would block ANYONE with a "gmail.com" address from writing me. So, any e-mail sent to me by anyone with a "gmail.com" address should please be re-sent, as all messages were automatically deleted by the program. And yes, I went in and removed it from the BSL before I asked for it/them to be re-sent.
And back to the subject at hand: I've re-read and re-read the verse, even checked out different versions on BibleGateway, and I, too, have to conclude that I like it, especially as my world will be slightly topsy-turvy for the next couple-to-three years with school.
